Here's what I got rid of:
Stuff I NEVER wear.

Here's what I walked home with:
A striped mini dress
Black wide-leg trousers
Two adorable beaded necklaces
A vintage silk top
&
A handful of brightly colored cardi's

  4. I really really really want to get motivated and adopt this idea...so fun to get together with gal pals, enjoy vino and of course swap clothes...we always want what is in someone else's closet, no?

  5. Carly - you can do it! Host it at your place, create an evite, explain the "rules", ask everyone to bring a bottle, and have a blast!

Here's what I usually add on an invite to explain it all:

"A clothing exchange is a good excuse to clean out your closet of things you never wear! Even if you think it's garbage - someone else might love it! "One man's trash is another man's treasure" is how the old saying goes. Bring anything! Shoes, accessories, casual stuff, dressy stuff... the only things to leave behind are stained, or totally trashed garments. Even something that might need a new zipper or a hem is welcome. We'll set everything out in likeness, and let everyone sort through it! If there's something you really like and are reluctant to let go of because of it's value (but simply doesn't fit or look good on you) you can hold on to it as a "special item" and let someone else offer a trade for it. It's fun. Good times!"

  9. What fun. Looks quite glamorous. Wish I could have one, but people here aren't into swapping with anyone who's not related to them by blood.
